Black Friday and Existential Rants

Mikey got that TV... last week.  It's all about price adjusting!

So I was thinking crazy/sad/depressing things about Black Friday, commercialism, advertising, and Occupy Wall Street.  But it got too hopeless real fast and at the end of an amazingly insightful post I will never post, including all the honest thoughts I have about the economy and consumerism , I came back to Earth and out of the dark hole that is existential thought, and focused on the simple things that make me happy.  The things that I can (somewhat) control.

I know what makes me happy.  The big stuff in the world is out of my control and shouldn't be in my thoughts, I'm just too realistic and too sensitive to be involved.

What makes me happy?

-Laughing with my friends
-Hanging out with my family
-Clothing and fixing myself up
-Watching my baby grow up (I try not to think about the future and the day that he'll be a source of my worry)
-Enjoying the company of my husband, being proud of us in our careers, building our life together so we can buy things, eat things, and go places.

My brain is going to go back into hibernation.  See you in the Spring.

JACKETS

I'm entertaining the thought of buying myself a new jacket.  Here are some of my online shopping picks.

BB Dakota Cromwell Peacoat

The North Face Denali Hoodie

Betsey Johnson Wool Coat

If I had these jackets, I would have a jacket for every outfit.

Maybe I should buy all three....

Nathan's Xmas Wishlist

Hey everyone!
A common question I get this time of year is "what should I get Nathan?"  Not that I'm ever disappointed with the gifts you guys get him, (Christmas gifts for Nathan are Christmas gifts for me too!) but here's a list anyways for those of you who really rely on my list to get the ball rolling.

Nathan's Christmas Wishlist

Toy automobiles.  Not just cars, but anything with wheels really, big or small.  I'm sure if it were up to Nathan, this is all he would ask for.

Levi's 511 or 514, size 24 mo

Because I think it's too cute, the Ikea Poang Children's chair

The Svala Ikea's children's table

Sneakers.  Size 7 or 7.5.  Jordan's, Puma's, Adidas, Chucks, etc... Nathan isn't picky =)

Thanks all!

Ultimate Wishlist

In the spirit of the highly anticipated holiday shopping season, I've created my own ULTIMATE wishlist.  One day when my man and I are super ballin, I'll own these things.

For now, it's fun to fantasize.

A gold Rolex watch.  Unnecessary because we have phones.  Phones have the time.  And we, as human beings, always have our phones.  But a Rolex watch is oh so stylish.  Oh so classic.  Oh so me.  Especially this mans Rolex watch...

Christian Louboutin's.  They hurt like hell, but look so good.  I'd wear these to fancy places.

A Burberry Trench Coat.  It's just a trench coat.  But trench coats are staples in a wardrobe that you could have forever and therefore spend a little more on (according to InStyle).

A Louis messenger.  Masculine yet fem.

This Topaz David Yurman ring.

A gaudy Canary yellow diamond ring.  I've got some hang ups on diamonds, but Nexus man made diamonds are human friendly and budget friendly.
